Channel Partner Program Expands in Australia and New Zealand Through Partnership with Corsair

Corsair Solutions, the newest Wowza channel partner, imports and distributes professional and commercial audio/visual (AV) equipment in Australia and New Zealand. We had the chance to sit down with Brad Morton, co-director at Corsair Solutions, to learn why he chose Wowza Media Systems as a channel partner and why streaming is so important to his customer base.

Interviewer, Lynn Green: Your core business focuses on audio/visual equipment; what drew you to add Wowza Streaming Engine software to your product set?

Brad Morton: We work with a variety of integrators and end users in many areas within the broadcast, corporation, government, education, and live event markets. Wowza is synonymous with streaming media and is well known for its integration. Wowza Streaming Engine software provides a powerful reliable solution, so we were excited to be presented with this opportunity.

Lynn: How will this new partnership benefit your current and future customers?

Brad: Wowza products have rich APIs, lots of control, customization, and management aspects. The ability to work efficiently with various hardware and also keep up-to-date with newer delivery formats, captioning, and security/content protection make this a very attractive solution for many industries.

Lynn: Where do you see the AV industry heading in the next 2, 5, 10 years?

Brad: AV, broadcast, and IT are converging and continuing to create new opportunities and challenges for integrators and consultants. Streaming to any or multiple devices, whether internally on a college network or to the cloud, with various levels of security and encryption is now expected. Wowza offers many paths to meet these requirements and is very agile in adopting new technologies as they arise. For anyone responsible for designing, building, and deploying their own solutions, regardless of scale or application, Wowza can help deliver a complete end-to-end streaming workflow.

Lynn: You recently attended the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas. What were some of the trends there that you see impacting the AV industry?

Brad: IP formats, transmission, and compression were hot topics at NAB 2016 and becoming necessary requirements. Whether streams from IP cameras or working with studios with cameras that output 4K over coaxial cables, there is the need to get this back into the IP realm, and manage and transmit this over their current IP networks. We expect to see this trend reflected at the InfoComm show, which will be very well attended by Australian system-integration customers. We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Wowza so we can introduce them to all the potential solutions that Wowza enables.

Lynn: For those interested in working with Corsair Solutions, how can they get in touch with you?

Brad: The best way to contact us is through our website at www.corsairsolutions.com.au, or people can call us at +61 3 9005 9861.
