load balancer EC2 AWS

Hi,

I have two instances of EC2 on AWS. I am now trying to create a load balancer. But whenever I try to create a load balancer, at the last stage, I get:

Error: InvalidInstance: undefined

Does anyone have any clue on what might be wrong? I know my instances are running fine.

Are you using a 64-bit ami with a small instance or vice versa.

I am using m1.small instance. And yes I am using a startup package.

Are you using 64-bit AMI? Which AMI are you using?

Its a 32-bit AMI.

Is the package over 16kb? If you have jar files that make the package over 16kb, you have to put them on a web server and use downoad tag in the startup.xml file

I don't know what do you mean by Which AMI. Both the instances are in Zone: us-east-1a if that is what you mean. About the package being 16kb, is this info in the EC2 guide? I used the default package that comes with EC2.
