The video is h.264 Baseline 4.1, which might not work in a few older IPhone 3g models, but will work in most iOS devices.

You can probably just reduce the frame size to be recognized as Baseline 3.

The problem is you are using developer edition, and it has very short time limits on live http streaming. You can get an eval license that does not have this limit at http://wowza.com/eval.php

so I sent a email to support@wowza.com with the requested info, and I was told that the cause of the problem was that I was using a development license, so I tried our subscription license and that had no effect, so I sent a response email with the new conf and logs and now I am awaiting a response.

To conclude:

The apple stream url worked on my iOS simulator, but not on Quicktime 10.1 for osx lion, so that must be some kind of bug, but at least the stream seems to be working on the iOS.
