Thread: Wowza version upgrade on EC2

Default Wowza version upgrade on EC2

My client is running on #Software: Wowza Media Server 3.1.1 build1479 (EC2 instances). What would be the upgrade procedure for it to get to 3.1.2, without moving to a new AMI?
Do I just download the 3.1.2 or do I need a special version for EC2? Do I have to re-attach the devpay id's after any upgrade?

    Tit,

If there are no files in the /conf folder of a patch, you can use the patch as-is. If Server.xml or VHost.xml is present in the /conf folder you should delete those before applying, or merge to preserve what changes are in it. An Application.xml will be okay to copy. Any other xml files in the conf folder you should take a look at to make sure there is not any EC2 specific content.
