Default Provide an update url for Eclipse

It would be nice if existing Eclipse users could get an update URL to install WMS IDE in their existing Eclipse distro.

Great suggestion. It is something we are planning on doing in the near future. Wanted to get the standalone installer for the IDE out first.

Any idea when we can expect this?

You can download the plugins here:

    wowzaproserverproide.zip (Eclipse 3.3)

Remember that these are compiled again Eclipse 3.3 (and not the latest version 3.4).

You can play with a preview of the 3.4 plugins here:

    wowzaproserverproide.zip (Eclipse 3.4)

Default Wowza IDE with Flex Builder 3.0.2 problem

I'm using Flex Builder 3.0.2 standalone, it's based on Eclipse 3.3, I've put your files in but I don't see nothing related to Wowza. I also have Java support installed on the Flex Builder. Should I set up something else? Is anybody has the same problem?

I have not tried this so I am not sure what to expect. See what you get when you go to the "New -> Project..." dialog. Under the Java section or in a "Wowza Media Server Pro" section you should see our create project stuff. Be sure you have the Java JDE installed.

I am using Flex Builder standalone. And Wowza IDE. And I have both open at the same most of the time.

I suggest keeping them separate. I'm setting break points in each and running them with applications that are interacting with each other. If I could get them both to run in the same IDE, I wouldn't do it. You might want Flex IDE in one perspective and Wowza in another, and you might click continue in Flex to hit a break point in Wowza. With that workflow, it's good to have two IDEs.

I, for instance, want only a single IDE. If I want more then I just create separate Eclipse installations. It's rude to force people to certain way, because that might not be suitable for all to all situations. Having an update site gives the user flexibility and ability to choose the way HE want's to use the plugin. Here's another way how to install it as a plugin.

Just the feature and plugins are here:

    wowzaproserverproide.zip

I just never found the time to setup an update site. There is also a newer version of Wowza IDE that I plan on releasing sometime in the coming months. I will try to add an update site for this new version.

What is the latest supported (or not supported :-)) Eclipse version?

I'm about to install the Eclipse for Java version because I've some "udpate" problems with the old Wowza IDE.

Can you provide a link to the latest Wowza Eclipse Plugin and tell me what matching version of Eclipse is usable with it?

    Thanks,
    Attila
