We are just going to send that camera back and stick with the Axis cameras. Thanks again for the quick responses.

The video quality is not that impressive compared to the AXIS cams anyway. We thought the TrendNet cam would be a less expensive alternative.... but, honestly, the AXIS cams are tremendous value for the cost already... so, we'll stick with them.
Thanks again for your time Richard. We really appreciate the help you guys provide and the effort everyone's put into Wowza. It really is a superior product with a great community.

You're welcome. Thanks for the info. I think the audio would have been a problem too. codec arm/pcm

Yeah, we knew the audio wouldn't work. Didn't need it for what we were doing and disabled it in the admin.
We were hoping this cam would save $$ and maybe stream in an H.264 profile that iPhones could handle. The AXIS cams are baseline 4.1 and we've been unsuccessful so far trying to restream it for the iPhone.
Gotta say, though... the video quality, quality of build, and everything else about the AXIS cams is very impressive.

fyi, I use Axis m-1011 to stream to IPhone 3gs. And it has worked since the original OS, and without the forceH264BaselineProfile property. I'm not sure if will work on IPhone 3g, or the previous model. I know it didn't in a early test, but with recent OS upgrades and the forceH264BaselineProfile property, it might.
I use it for peace-of-mind, to check on the house if I go anywhere.

Thanks - we're gonna try the forceH264BaselineProfile property with our Axis cam again soon. If we can make it work, we'll post it in the Wowza forums. We're using the AXIS P1344-E. It's perfect for our outdoor setup.

Hi,
I followed the steps in page one about how to playback on Silverlight but failed. Here is what I did:
1. Since I have Wowza Media Server 2 Preview 9 installed on my PC, I downloaded the SmoothStreamingExamplePlayers.zip
2. rename the dir C:\Program Files\Wowza Media Systems\Wowza Media Server 2 Preview 9\examples\LiveVideoStreaming to LiveVideoStreaming_orig
3. copy the extracted dir LiveVideoStreaming to C:\Program Files\Wowza Media Systems\Wowza Media Server 2 Preview 9\examples\
4. click on C:\Program Files\Wowza Media Systems\Wowza Media Server 2 Preview 9\examples\LiveVideoStreaming\clientSilverlight\De fault.html
I did see the volume and the slider but didn't see anything like a player
5. enter my Manifest like: http://server:1935/live/myStream.sdp/Manifest
But nothing happened. I could see "Transfering data from " the server on the status bar at the bottom of the browser though.
BTW, the server is not my local one. I used our prouduction server. The stream played well on VLC.
Any idea about why it's not working on the Silverlight player? Thanks a lot!
Added: I did make the vod "mp4:Extremists.m4v" work on the same silverlight player, but not live.

The most common reason for live smooth streaming to fail is no audio. Audio is required. Or you might have to start the stream in StreamManager.
But, Preview 9!? That should have timed out last year. The current version of Wowza is 2.1.2. Please upgrade. We don't support the previews.

Thanks Richard!
My stream has Audio. What's StreamManager? I read that some people set "smoothStreamingMediaMajorVersion" to 1 or 2. Is it really relavent and what's the right way to do it?
BTW, the preview 9 was installed locally on my PC. It's the latest version installed on the server.
