Thread: Problem with iPhone Streaming

  1. #1

    Default Problem with iPhone Streaming

    Hello,

I am new to Wowza and got trial version. I am running it on Windows 2008 R2 for iPhone Streaming. All seems to be work fine, but the streaming stops approximately after 30 to 40 seconds. Is it limitation of Trial version OR problem in configuring my server? I think only developer edition has this limitation. Please reply!

    Thanks

Yes, the developer edition has a time limit on live http streams to IPhone and Silverlight. It's 3 minutes actually.

Thank you so much for your quick reply Richard!

What about the limitation on Evaluation (30 days) edition? Is the same limiation applies?

No, the eval license is unlimited, doesn't have those restrictions.

Thank you Richard. Here is my problem:

    1. I installed Developer license first.
    2. Then got 30 day license key and updated in the license file.
    3. Restarted my machine and started Wowza server.
    4. Tried to play MP4 file (of duration 4 mins) encoded in H264 baseline.
    5. The iPhone plays for 20 to 30 seconds and it stops.
    6. When I looked at the server log, I can see the following:

    INFO cupertino connect 447654674 -
    INFO stream create SA -
    INFO cupertino connect 467206541 -
    INFO stream create SA -
    INFO stream play SA -
    INFO stream destroy SA -
    INFO cupertino disconnect 447654674 -
    INFO stream stop SA -
    INFO stream destroy SA -
    INFO cupertino disconnect 467206541 -

    Any help???

Make sure you are really using the eval license, enter this in a browser:

    http://[wowza-address]:1935

This should tell you what version, build and license.

I checked it and it shows April 15th. So, the eval key is applied correctly.

    Wowza 2 Eval edition 15 April 2010 2.0.0.08 build 23392

    Thanks

Okay. Zip up /conf and /logs folder and send to support@wowzamedia.com.

Include a link to this post.

And send URL you are using if your Wowza Server is on a public IP.
