Any way to get existing stream or .flv info with Wowza?

Let's say a stream is being published, or there is an existing .flv in the content directory, is there any way in a server-side app to get the stream or .flv width and height? I am recording a movie from a webcam and would need to store the movie info in the database.

(With PHP I use a system call to mplayer to get movie info, not sure if something similar is possible with Wowza?).

We do not have an API for doing this directly.

Allright, thanks, I might simply make my Flash app send Camera info to the server, this would kind of give me the stream width and height.
