We currently do not have a way to do. It is a feature we may add in the future but there are no short term plans.

From my limited understanding of playlist.m3u8 files would not be possible to vreate a meta playlist by hand?

I cant find many examples of m3u8 files with google, is this even possible?

No, the playlists on the Iphone are parallel and used for multi-bitrate and not serial. Either way we have no way to set this up properly.
