Question by Frederic Landry · Oct 29, 2008 at 04:41 AM · performance and tuning

Fullscreen flash video exits in a multi monitor environment

Ok, so Flash Player has that great option that puts the player full screen, but if you use a multiple monitor setup and have the full screen on say Monitor 2 and other stuff on Monitor 1, when you click away from the full screen player on Monitor 2 to the Program you want to work in, like Photoshop, on Monitor 1 the Flash Player goes back to normal mode.

There's no way to keep the Flash movie in full screen mode while working in another program on another monitor.

Anyone have any ideas of how I could solve this issue?

thanks

You can build your own flash player with adobe air, there you can control on which monitor the content should be shown and what should happen if your app loses focus.

Just use the Actual Multiple Monitors for your multi monitors system. AMM is the best MM software. It's contain the function "ignore deactivation", which allow watch a fullscreen video at the first monitor and do anything else on the second monitor (or vice versa)...

An easier and lighter solution : Download Flash Keep FullScreen.

Just install it and it's done !

This is a Flash player issue. You may want to post this a bug on the Adobe site.
