Wowza Transcoder Intel QuickSync error

Hi all¡¡

I just follow all instructions on " https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-set-up-wowza-transcoder-quick-sync-accelerated-encoding-on-ubuntu-desktop " and all its ok, but when i start transcoding an stream, i obtain following error:

I am looking for this and i found that i have to buy Intel Media SDK for 499$ to build this libs.

is this ok? or am i on a mistake?

I cant understand how documentation is so poor about hardware acceleration obfuscating vital information about hardware requeriments and software addons.

Cesar,

It is difficult to document hardware-specific directions because of the many, many different hardware versions and configurations. We value your feedback on these matters.

The 'can’t find DLL" error infers that there is likely a problem with your QuickSync drivers. We might be better off taking a look at your configuration and log files. Please open a support ticket by sending and email to support@wowza.comand provide the following:

  • [install-dir]/conf

  • [install-dir]/logs

  • [install-dir]/transcoder

  • [install-dir]/manager/logs

Also, please offer a reference to this post.

    Thank you,
