We are currently testing an instance of Wowza Streaming Engine and noticed that Video/Parameters are documented as “Reserved for future use” (https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-set-up-and-run-wowza-transcoder-for-live-streaming). Can anyone provide more clarity as to when these values will be configurable? Currently any modifications to mainconcept params are being ignored on application restart.

You can configure the Video/Parameters in the transcoder template by following the instructions in this article.
It has instructions on showing the available parameters and also details on how to add them to the .xml file.
Regarding the application restart ignoring the set parameters. Can you give some examples on what is not currently working for you?

Thanks for the reply Alex. We located the source of our issues in that we were only restarting our configured application in Wowza and not restarting the entire service itself after updating params. An oversight on our end - thanks again!
