Wowza SNMP Agent: Failed to Start

Good day,

I tried to setup the SNMP monitoring of wowza streaming engine following the guide: https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-use-snmp-in-wowza-streaming-engine.

However I keep getting the error “SNMP Agent: Failed to start” in the logs after restarting the server.

I have not been able to get much help on the forum.

Any help I receive on this will be much appreciated.

Did you see this note and confirm you meet these requirements?

Notes:

This article assumes that you've set up an SNMP-managed network and have functional knowledge of its use.  

SNMPv2c capability is supported in Wowza Streaming Engine™ 4.5.0 or later. It enables you to monitor status for different media server SNMP objects but not configure those objects.

If so, we would need to take a look at your config and log files to determine the issue.
