What's the most problem to use nDVR w/ S3 storage

Hi,

I would like to apply nDVR on EC2 and store to S3 but support team said that’s no possible now.

anyone knows what’s the most problem on it?

Is it possible to save recording to local EBS then move to s3, playback directly from s3 by nDVR + MediaCache ?

problem is I/O speed, to say it easily.

You can try moving that, but it’s not 100% transparent. I’ve done similar stuff with a different application pointing to where you moved the content recorded. The main issue is that once manifest are loaded on memory, it’s hard to refresh that, so it’s all about the use case you want.

I’m assuming you want S3 'cause is cheaper, but I would suggest to add another EBS to your instance for better performance.
