The ClearCaster is designed for high performance streaming into Facebook Live. It’s controlled by the Facebook API, meaning you actually start, monitor, and end live broadcasts using a Facebook web page. Under the hood, the Facebook API controls the device, dynamically optimizing the encoder settings (up to 1080p) as well as handling device registration and user authentication through Wowza and Facebook, respectively.
One other nice feature is the “Talent View” display, which is fed out of the ClearCaster device to a confidence monitor displaying the video, viewer comments and even animated “like” emoticons and symbols.
