There is an Alienare Advertisement behind my Video?

I’m running Wowza Streaming Engine on an EC2 instance and streaming via WebRTC. When playing back streams there are quite a bit of artifacts (which is another issue I’d like addressed) but more concerning there is an alienware advertisement behind the video?

Hello Cody,

Don’t think I’ve seen that reported before.

Can you provide more details about the WebRCT source? Is it running an Alienware machine? What is the video source(webcam/other)? Are you using our demo WebRTC publisher? Do you see the logo in the publishing preview before streaming?

If you are using a webcam on an Alienware machine I would recommend to check if there is any software that would apply an overlay to the webcam.

Andy E

The WebRCT source is coming from my Macbook Pro running OS X. The video source is the “FaceTime HD” webcam that is built in to the Macbook. I’m using the demo WebRTC publisher code example (slightly modified) to publish the stream.

The only time I see it is when artifacts happen like in the photo above. Which I get quite a bit of artifacts when encoding via WebRTC (but not if I’m encoding with OBS).

Also I’m using the Wrench module to authorize streams sources. Is it possible the developer of the module could have put some sort of background underlay behind my stream?

Turns out my WiFi router had malware on it lmao. Updated the firmware/wiped the router and I think the issue is gone now. Be sure to check the DNS servers on your router from time to time!
