Invalid tincan object....???

I need help implementing a live video streaming application ?

My setup is WOWZA Media Server, Haivision codec and a plethora of Adobe Flex and Flash applications.

After much trial and error, I’m able to connect WOWZA and to the live stream but when I try to view this live stream in a browser… utilizing the LiveStreamingVideo sample application that comes w/ WOWZA examples, I’m getting this error:

Invalid tincan object name (stream ID: 1)

I’m researching on Google, but I’m not finding much luck.

What does this mean…???

Have you tried the NativeRTPVideoStreaming example for this? Are you following one of the Live Encoders forum posts about Haivision encoders?

This does not make sense to me:

My setup is WOWZA Media Server, Haivision codec and a plethora of Adobe Flex and Flash applications.

So what is the exact setup that is throwing this error? I have never seen this error before. Please describe in detail your setup. Which exact encoder, the version of Wowza Pro and Java, OS, hardware config, which Flash player you are using, when you get the error… I need very detailed information to help.

To accurately answer your question, yes and no.

I did read the Reply and I am using the correct Server and Stream paths as instructed in this response, but I’m using sample code from the WOWZA LiveVideoStreaming example, so I’m sure the code is ok

also I’m sure I’m not the first one to experience this…I do see some articles on Google, but nothing of use that will resolve this

so I’m hoping admins @ WOWZA can provide some guidance if not solution…???
