Can a streamfile point to or consume a sdp file from axis encoder?

We are trying to connect to an axis Q7436 encoders putting out multicast streams. Trying to connect with either udp://[ip]:[port] or http://[ip]/axis-cgi/alwaysmulti.sdp?camera=1 and not getting it to work. Thanks!
