Why do we get charged for localhost instances of Wowza? I received an unexpected bill for 2 more instances and they were both localhost instances. Not very happy with Wowza at all.
Hello @Blake Whittle, sorry for late response. If the localhost uses the internet, the key will check into our server automatically.
Subscription license keys “phone home” to our licensing server. We look for the one day with the highest number of instances/channels used, and that usage is the basis for the fees on the invoice reflecting charges for that usage period.
Using a trial license key may be an option for you to avoid charges. Please reach out our billing dept. if you’d like further assistance.
