SSL and Streamlock end to end implementation

I’m looking for a solution to streamlock implementation. While there is documentation in pieces, there doesn’t seem to be an end to end guide. I have the streamlock installed on my Wowza. But should I just stream normally from my encoder? If I have a transcoder at Wowza for HLS playback? What does that entail. It seems that although my stream reaches Wowza, the transcoder is only seeing the source stream. The transcoded streams are list in incoming streams but they are listed as “waiting for stream”. Then, what am I supposed to use to pull the stream from there. I assume i use that streamlock address?

Anyway, we’re at a point where https is pretty much required. Everything used to fine.

Need a solution/guide for end to end. I think Wowza’s documentation is lacking.

Any insight or a good link will be helpful.

The workflow from your encoder to your server should remain the same, but you need to use the streamlock hostname to pull the stream. You’re right that the public documentation is lacking. Wowza support should be able to help, but if you need additional consultation send me an e-mail at robert.coletti@piksel.com and we can work something out based on what you need.

Would be happy to support you with a proven solution. Just contact me at post@rosebud-media.de

I figured it out based on Robert’s comment. Thanks!
