VLC Desktop capture to Wowza Streaming Cloud

Hello,

I want VLC to capture my screen, then push that capture to my trial version of wowza streaming cloud.

These are the options for pushing out the stream, what do I choose, and then what do I choose on my video source and transcoder settings on the cloud dashboard?

Hello,

You can try using the RTP in VLC and choose the encoding source in Wowza Cloud as the RTSP Other option. Be sure to disable authentication.

Instead of VLC I would strongly utilizing a standalone encoder app like OBS. This will provide you with an option to send via RTMP. More importantly, it provides much more customization to optimize the encoding of your source stream for best results.
