Can you confirm that you are looking to have Genetec PULL a stream from Wowza or have Wowza pull a stream from Genetec?
So you would have Genetec pull an RTSP stream from Wowza and you would use rtp-live option where it would only be “activated” once the attempt to pull the stream is made from a connecting player.

I want to put a Wowza server in our internet facing DMZ. We have an internal Wowza server as well. We want to connect to another customers Wowza from our server in the internet facing DMZ and receive those streams and redirect to our internal Wowza. We also want to bring those sane streams into our Genetec VMS. I can create custom RTSP streams in Genetec to request those streams from Wowza but it will not make the stream become active. I have to physically log into Wowza and make the stream active. After several minutes it will go Inactive even though I am still viewing the video in Genetec.
How do I resolve this?
