source compression type not supported after record

I am having an issue and hoped someone had seen it before. I used the livestreamrecord and it did just as it was supposed to. However we have a need to post edit the file. Media Encoder, Adobe premier give source compression type not supported. Other tools just fail.

It plays and streams fine, but can not edit.

Any ideas?

Thanks

This may be due to the codecs being used. I have come across situations where the source was not a common codec, so although playback was possible editing/transcoding etc was not possible.

There is a free tool called GSpot which you can drop files onto and it will tell you the format of the file, the codecs etc which may show the problem.

Sorry, looks ok, but perhaps the lacking Audio track is the culprit. Can only suggest talking with Adobe for support, see if they know why.

Or alternatively use ffmpeg to convert it and try again (this is probably the easiest method).

SHows file type FLash Video, FLV1 Video Codec Flash/Sorenson. Does not show an audio codec. Any ideas why Adobe Premier will not import it?

Im having the same issues now - with After Effects. It says damaged or unsupported FLV…

Were you able to fix your issue before?
