Widevine similar for small companies

Hi…

I found widevine and I think it’s very nice… from my understande it uses a layer between player and the user to detect programas that can record the videos, right?

the problem is… they only offer this system to big companies…

Do you know if there is other solution? a way to detect and stop the delivery to users that are using specific programs?

Can you give an example of what you would like to do?

Wowza security features are mostly about allowing streaming or publishing based on a Token, Key or Authentication, and otherwise disallowing.

Widevine is a DRM system and may be too expensive for what you’re trying to achieve. Unfortunately we are not aware of any cheaper solution for Flash content encryption that is a good solution for smaller companies.

Securetoken is wall that can been broke easily…

there is some programs that can capture the secure token to than, with rtmpdump people can download the video. Of course, it’s not for dump people… but there a lot of people doing this with us.

We already use securetoken… we also developed a module that encrypt filename and other stuff so the server can connect to the site’s server and authorize the streaming. It has improve a lot our security … but still people can rip the video with camtasia for exemple.

Widewine from what I understand, can detect the software is running on the client’s computer and if so, stop delivery streaming… But seems this product is just for big companies with a lot of budget… I would like to know if there is something similar… or… wich technology could create something like that?
