How to authenticate a broadcaster in publishing a stream and how to authenticate viewers to view only allowed streams.
Any updates guys… ??
Hi @Jithin Wilfred, I apologize for the delay. You have several options in our documentation depending on your workflow which I am not 100% sure of, so I’ll share a few different resources and hopefully one of them works for you.
- The OnConnectAuthenticate module is a file-based username/password authentication method you can use with Flash applications that connect to Wowza Streaming Engine™ media server software.
- The OnConnectAuthenticate2 module is a file-based username/password authentication method for use with Flash applications that connect to Wowza Streaming Engine™ media server software. It uses query parameters in the RTMP URL to connect to server software.
- The ModuleRefererValidate module for Wowza Streaming Engine™ media server software can be used to control access to your streams based on the referer domain.
For allowing only certain viewers to access the stream, we have several options as well in our docs, but using a security token is the most common. Viewers can only access the stream link if they permission through the security token “handshake”.
Honestly, this doc will provide you with all your options for both broadcast authentication and playback security.
Is there any possible method to publish stream on Wowza streaming cloud with a web cam and web browser.
No not at this time, sorry about that.
