Cannot playback 4K video in mkv format on VOD stream

Hi,

I just uploaded a 4k video to /content/ folder of the server and I am unable to playback the video.

when i try to open this link rtsp://103.35.99.179:1935/vod/Greyhound-4K.mkv

It says “Video failed to play” on my Android phone.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have another video with mp4 format in the same folder and it streams without any issue.

.mkv files are not support for playback. Take a look at the support file formats, 3rd section down https://www.wowza.com/products/streaming-engine/specifications
