How many viewers can view live stream with wowza cloud pay as you go plan?

Currently I am using pay as you go plan on wowza cloud. I have a problem on connection with many viewers. Some users can’t connect to my live stream. The question is, how many viewers can view live stream ? and is there any way for increase the number of viewers ?

@Senghak Chea, how many is “many viewers”? Are you using the Wowza CDN for distribution of the stream?

@Karel Boek-Senior Consultant I am not sure, I am using wowza CDN or not. I just create wowza cloud account and subscribe pay as you go plan. And I create livestream by rest api. The problem is when that stream have many concurrent viewers(users view stream at the same time), some viewers can connect to the stream. I used wowza gocoder as my playback.

Cloud uses a CDN for playback by default when creating a live stream. Typically there aren’t issues with playback through a CDN, and we have hosted streams with millions of viewers in the past.

I noticed that you are using the GoCoder SDK to do playback, this indicates that the streams are being viewed through mobile devices. There are many factors that could be affecting playback, but specifically you should investigate:

  1. The strength of the mobile signal while viewing.
  2. The geographic location of the viewer

Having access to playback logs is very helpful too when determining the issue.

I would submit a ticket @Senghak Chea. Cloud is based on a CDN so you should be able to stream on a very large scale globally with up to tens of thousands of viewers if distributed correctly between the edge servers. We’d like to take a closer look at your config and run some tests. Thanks.
