I know that @Jermaine Hemby already answered a similar question in 2017, but I will ask the same question again.

How to limit the number of simultaneous viewers in Wowza Cloud?

For audiovisual service providers like my company it is very complicated to quote for clients who want open streams, without using Tokens.

I know that for the Wowza Streaming Engine there is a Java module for this function, Limit the number of viewers of a stream with a Wowza Streaming Engine Java module, it would not be possible for Wowza to add this function to CDN Wowza Cloud.

Hello Sergio,

Currently, there is not a way to throttle the number of viewers via the CDN without some token auth logic.

The module you mentioned applies only to connections direct to the Wowza Streaming Engine servers themselves. There isn’t anything built-in that is communicating with the 3rd party CDN to limit the connections.
