I often encounter the error below. What is the reason of this?
The message you’re getting (HTTPStreamerAdapterCupertinoStreamer.service: Request timeout: 8000) is caused by the stream not being available. The Apple HLS client times out when the stream is not provided within the timeout duration (8 seconds). This is expected if the stream you’re playing isn’t available and also it’s due to a connectivity issue between the origin and edge.
You can reduce the delay for Apple HLS clients when playing a live stream by editing the packetization on the origin and edge servers. Please see the following guide for details.
