I am looking for a quick and easy solution to display number of viewers as text overlay in video stream.
Searched the forum and found that an additional java module must be compiled and installed, Additionally this can only be done if transcoder is enabled, which causes CPU load.
So, is this really necessary?
Yes, it is because that is the only way we can do overlays server side. You could pass the data as an ID3 tag and then do the overlay client side.
