Is it recommended to auto reboot the wowza server periodically?
Sometimes the streams stops and after a reboot all goes back to normal.

Hey there @Gary_Kewley, typically no, if everything is configured properly then you shouldn’t need to restart it at all. There could be an issue within the configuration, packetizers, network, CPU usage, CDN or problem from the camera source. So as you can see, hard for us to know without running some tests.
Would you kindly submit a support ticket so we have full access to your config and logs? We can then figure this out and prevent you from having to restart it regularly. But again to answer your direct question, you would not need to restart the server on a regular basis. Unless of course, you made specific changes in which a restart is always required.
