There are two levels of privacy settings associated with Wowza ClearCaster live streams. First, there is a default privacy ceiling of Friends for the ClearCaster appliance; this functions as the default for a ClearCaster in Facebook mode and most public setting you can use for live stream posts from Wowza ClearCaster. The second is the audience for individual broadcasts, which determines who can see the post on Facebook; this setting can't exceed the device-level privacy ceiling when used in Facebook mode. This article describes how to change the privacy ceiling for your Wowza ClearCaster appliance.
Note: As of Friday, July 23, 2021 Facebook Manager will be deprecated on all versions of ClearCaster. Upgrade to Wowza ClearCaster encoder release 2.3.9.00 to use Facebook Paired Templates to stream directly to Facebook live. See Create Wowza ClearCaster broadcasts to learn more about the Facebook Paired destination.
