For creating the multi-bitrate streams, you can use the Wowza transcoder, and it has a way of grouping streams which essentially creates a smil file for clients. Take a look at the Transcoder Templates section of this article: http://www.wowza.com/forums/showthre...eam-transcoder
1. To which port(s) should the multi-bit rate encoder send the streams for wowza to listen to?
2. How do I configure wowza's xml/smil/.stream file such that it is able to listen to these key frame
aligned multi bit rate streaming?
3. How will wowza be made to listen to these multiple ports simultaneously for all the streams?
4. Also, the article on How to publish and play a live stream (MPEG-TS based encoder)
seems to be more for vod. Eg., How to play in Adobe HTTP, Apple iOS seems to be more VOD.
There is no reference provided for starting the Live Stream Manager. Hence, I am wondering
whether this was for VOD. Kindly clarify.
We want to test our live multi bit rate mpeg-ts based encoder with Wowza.
