    Hi ,

actually what i am looking for is.. is there any way where in i can just type a url ( similar to the url specified for playback in apple ios) and get a playback using flash ( http/rtmp) ppr other rtsp.

i just have to type in that url in my browswer ; specifying the ip address of system running wowza server; and i will be able to playback the stream.. is it possible???
    i hope i am clear..

    thanks in advance

No, you need a Flash application. There are example clients in the examples folder where Wowza is installed. For production ready players, take a look at JW Player or Flowplayer

    Thank you Richard and Jason,

i searched the forum again and found that for a remote system to access the playback , i need to copy the contents of client or clientosmf/bin-release folder to a web server. I did that and tried to access the stream. It woked well with rtmp ,( http://[wowza-server address]/live.html and follow the steps for rtmp playback) but it was not working with http flash (http://[wowza-server adress]/LiveOsmfPlayer.html) . i checked for the flash player plugin for my browser ( firefox) and found flash to be enabled. still flash for http is not working. am i missing something?

Sounds like you need hands-on help. If you can afford to hire someone, write to support@wowza.com and ask for the list of independent consultants.

    Otherwise, start here:

    Thank You Richard,

Sorry for the late reply .

Let me first update you with my current observations and proceedings

    1) i setup a jwplayer and embedded it in a html tag following this : http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....h-Wowza-Server

    2) then with this , when i give the ip address of the system ( ie , [wowza-server address]/[html page].html). from another system i was able to play correctly , using rtmp flash.

Now , my problem is when i use the same html tag and modify it accordingly so as to playback from HTTP Flash , i am not getting any output. can you please help me on this issue ?

    Thanks and regards

    Hi
JWPlayer doesn't support HTTP flash streaming that's why you don't get any output.

I'm sure someone could recommend you a player that supports "RTMP over HTTP"

If you want to do Flash HTTP (San Jose) streaming, try the Strobe player or Flash Media Playback (hosted version of Strobe). Also the Wowza OSMF example clients will work
