Smile Using E3-1270 instead E3-1275 processor for transcode

    Hi,

I need transcode 6 videos mpeg2-ts, 4Mbits each, to 6 videos h264 with 1Mbits. I am looking for in Brazil(Dell) a server that use the processor Intel Xeon E-3 1275 but I am not sucess with this. Only E3-1270 is avaliable here.

Wowza works fine in a server with dual processor E3-1270 / 8Gb Ram instead of E3-1275?

Any one use Dell server to transcode video?

    Regards,

E3 1275 comes with an embedded graphics processor (Intel HD P3000), while E3 1270 does not have it.

You can't have two E3 processors on the same motherboard.

It doesn't matter what brand name it says on the box (Dell,Supermicro,HP), the components are important.

Who uses E3-1725 in their servers? I cannot find any rack server with this particular CPU
