Thread: Mixing mediacaster streams and liverepeater-edge on same edge server

Default Mixing mediacaster streams and liverepeater-edge on same edge server

I am building a streaming setup where live streams will be sourced from both Icecast servers and Streams generated by Wowza origin instances.

On the edge servers, it a good idea to mix both types of stream on a single edge server?

For example I could have one liverepeater-edge app instance copying live streams from the liverepeater-origin box, plus another app instance which is pulling mediacaster streams from the Icecast boxes.

This would be a better setup in terms of cost and redunduncy but I need to know if there are any other possible scaling issues.

    Hi
That sound fine to me I can't see there being any issues and you seem to know what you're talking about,
did you want any help setting this up or did you just want to know if there would be any issues?
