    Default Multiple playback

    Good day!

    I have a site which I am happy with how it works. I wrote my player using ActionScript and am able to stream to most of the web-browsers provided the client has flash installed.

    I noted on the link below that I should be able to Playback the same stream in multiple players, for instance playing using Adobe Flash Player (San Jose/Flash HTTP) I will need the code [Stream: http://[wowza-ip-address]:1935/live/.../manifest.f4m] or for Apple iOS device [http://[wowza-address]:1935/live/myS...playlist.m3u8]

    I am not sure how this is supposed to work. According to the documentation, the Apple iOS code can be called using Safari Browser; I tried that and nothing happened, is there some specific file and/or folder that I need to create prior to trying this, for instance the .m3u8 file, how is it generated and who is supposed to generate it???

    Another question is about HTML 5, how do I play the streaming on HTML 5?

    Another question: can I stream using Windows Phone? Can I consume streams on Windows Phone?

    Last question: what is WOWZA strategy around servicing the African marketing, particularly with regard to training?

    Configuration and playback URLs for Cupertino (iOS) and Sanjose (Flash HTTP) is covered in each of the tutorials:

    Only Safari on recent version of Mac OSX work with Cupertino streams, and you must use HTML video tag (you can't open m3u8 URL directly):

      <title>Cupertino Streaming</title>
    <video controls src="http://[wowza-address]:1935/vod/sample.mp4/playlist.m3u8">
    HTML5 video tag is not supported otherwise, except in iOS as shown above.

    Windows Phone is not supported. It might work with RTSP streams, but I don't have one to test and it is not officially supported.

    I don't know of a Wowza African marketing/training strategy, but you can write to with thoughts or questions about that.
