    Default Video Recording app

    I am trying to change the <StorageDir> for the example video recording application within the Application.xml.

    <Streams>
    			<StreamType>record</StreamType>
    			<!-- <StorageDir>${com.wowza.wms.context.VHostConfigHome}/content</StorageDir> -->
    			<StorageDir>/var/www/html</StorageDir>
    ...

    but recorded files still end up in ${com.wowza.wms.context.VHostConfigHome}/content

    I am not sure how to debug this issue.

    Thanks,
    Shawn

    Make sure you are changing /conf/[app-name]/Application.xml, and that it is not malformed in any way. Wowza will show an ERROR line if it is malformed, in which case /conf/Application.xml is used

    Just to be safe, I edited /conf/Application.xml and files still appeared in the ${com.wowza.wms.context.VHostConfigHome}/content folder.

    Within in our default application we successfully use /var/www/html as the root destination.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Re-start Wowza to be sure you are reloading the application with your changes.

    I restart the wowza server using the ./shutdown and /.startup commands. I then navigated to the local copy of the 'client' folder and launched videorecording.html in my browser. Files are still being saves to the ${com.wowza.wms.context.VHostConfigHome}/content folder.

    Am I missing something?

    When I say local, I mean a desktop, not the server running the wowza application. I copied the client folder to my local machine for testing.

    Shawn,

    Zip up conf and logs folders and send them to support@wowza.com. Include a link to this thread for reference

    Hi Richard,

    I have done this. Should I expect a reply here or via email.

    Thanks,

    You should get an auto-reply, then I or someone else will pick it up later, probably today. Check spam if you don't see auto reply
