Default Live stream recording and file writing

How quickly does WMS write live stream packets to a recorded file in live-record (or live-record-lowlatency) mode? I'm hoping very quickly, as I would like to use Xuggler to reference the file being written as a source to grab the last frame and output a still. Doable?

Very slowly. I think the rate is related to the client side buffer size. I think it is usually around every 5 seconds or so. It is probably not the best way to do it. Better to monitor the IMediaStream.getPlayPackets() periodically. It will be populated with new packets every 100ms or so.
