Default Player code example for LIVE dynamic bitrate support

    Dear All,

I'm using http://flowplayer.org/plugins/streaming/bwcheck.html for dynamic bitrate switching on VoD without any problem but I can't get flowplayer or jwplayer working with live streams.

Does anyone have any foolproof code examples please? I'm losing my marbles!

At this stage I'll use any player and happily pay for its licence:!

    Mucho gratias!

You have to provide detail about what you are doing for us to help.

    Thanks, Richard.

I have three streams of different bitrates called stream_1, stream_2 and stream_3.

All work fine individually but I'd like them to work in the same way that the VoD example in the URL above does. I've added "live: true" and changed the "netConnectionUrl" and "url" lines but I just can't get it working. I thought it would be easier to just say what I'd changed than copy that example's code again. Can give more detail id you'd like. Not fussed about which player I use at all if it works.

    Help much appreciated

    JR,

As far as I know Flowplayer does not support Flash Dynamic (multi-bitrate) Streaming, but JW Player does:

Live streams must be key frame aligned for this to work. FMLE and some hardware encoders are known to work. Wirecast doesn't work when last tested.

The Wowza Transcoder is the best way to do this, since it requires the least bandwidth from encoder to Wowza and guarantees key frame alignment:
