    Default createApplication and writeAppConfig methods

Are these methods supported and working in WMS 3.0?

If so, what are the two parameters to writeAppConfig supposed to be?

    Thanks!

They're in the API so I assume they are working. I haven't tested them though.

public boolean writeAppConfig(String sName, String data)

The first param is the filename app name, and the second one is the xml data.

    Thanks Randall,

I guess I was misinterpreting what the methods would do, I would have thought that writeAppConfig would have serialized the application's current configuration to its Application.xml.

Do you know of any method which would have that behavior, or are changes to the application's configuration automagically saved?

    Thanks!

Changes made to a application instance's properties dynamically in your Module, for example, are not saved to the Application.xml.

Richard, is there any way to serialize the current configuration of an application to its configuration file?

    Thanks!

There is nothing built it, but you can use Java file api.

    Sorry, I was wrong.

    In the API:

    readAppConfig(String sName)
    writeAppConfig(String sName, String data)

Refers to the app name. New app instances will be created with the new Application.xml (in memory).
