Thread: Stop Link Sharing

    Default Stop Link Sharing

How can I pass a key with stream URL and validate that key in wowza and then allow or disallow that stream to play

I want to stop link sharing.

I am not using any flash player to play the stream. They will play natively on the device like rtsp on droid and blackberry rtmp in flash for pc and Mac ,http in iOS

    Thanks

I read it.but still cannot find a solution if you can guide me step by step that would be vey help full

First subscibed users who will look at live stream will not be using any flash player they will just be using a live stream URL. On thier device .Live steam URL will be different for each device for the protocol they support

Now how can i stop these users to not just share the link to Any one else

The wowza sever and application server are two different servers

    asimkhan,

See the section "Live Streaming using RTMP or RTSP/RTP based Encoder", in the MediaSecurity packaged mentioned above. Let me know if you're having any trouble with the steps in the included .pdf docs.

all the examples in the pdf docs require me to embed the secure token into the client side flash player. which i do not want

i am not using flash player at client side i am just redirecting the user to stream url , like if the user is accessing my application from iphone and iphone stream url for http streaming will be sent to the client device and the device will play that stream natively and so is the case with blackberry (rtsp) and android

so i need a module in wowza that will accept a key from the url stream validate it against my remote db and then accept or reject the session

    Thanks

    Hi
You can write this in the Wowza IDE (this will be a custom module),
Unfortunately for you this is not a simple task and research will be required.

The other option is to have it built for you, ask for the independent consulting list from support@wowza.com

    Hi asimkhan,

See this module for an example: http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....mit-to-IP-list

You should be able to add your DB code in there. You should be able to get the credentials with the getURI() method of com.wowza.wms.rtp.model.RTPSession. (I think)
