Thread: isFlashMediaLiveEncoder() failing

  1. #1

    Default isFlashMediaLiveEncoder() failing

    I have monitoring FMLE connections and have found some issues.

    - pingtimeout don't disconnect the idle FMLE client one
    - isFlashMediaLiveEncoder() failing sometimes

    System.out.println(client.isFlashMediaLiveEncoder() + " - " + client.getFlashVer());
    (netbook 1) false - FMLE/3.0 (compatible; FMSc/1.0)
    (netbook 2) false - FMLE/3.0 (compatible; FMSc/1.0)
    (netbook 3) true- FMLE/3.0 (compatible; FMSc/1.0)
    (netbook 4) true - FMLE/3.0 (compatible; FMSc/1.0)
    (netbook 5) true - FMLE/3.0 (compatible; FMSc/1.0)

    Five different netbooks, same FMLE Version/SO/CPU/Memory/Bandwidht configuration (FMLE 3.2, Win 7 32 bits, ATOM D425 2GB) and Wowza Media Server 3 Monthly Edition build995

    Any idea?

    Install this patch. It should fix the FMLE detection issue:

    Ping timeout is turned off when connects are FMLE because FMLE does not support the RTMP ping mechanism. If you want to turn it back on you can do the following in a module:

    public void onAppStart(IApplicationInstance appInstance)
