Thread: Wowza 2.0.0 to 2.2.4.07 or 3.03 ?

  1. #1

    Default Wowza 2.0.0 to 2.2.4.07 or 3.03 ?

We're currently running 2.0.0 and are looking to upgrade to either 2.2.4.07 or 3.0.3 to implement the IOS 5 patch.

Is it still possible to get a package and upgrade to 2.2.3+ in order to apply the patch? And if so, would this be a simpler upgrade than going straight from 2.0.0->3.0.3?

    Thanks.

I think it would be as simple to upgrade to 3.0.3, and is recommended.

    Hello,
I do not think the problem is specific to Wowza Server versions. I responded to ticket #20445 this morning.

I am wondering about this upgrade as well. I would like to get to the current 2.x release. The original question was not answered fully here, where are the steps and packages for upgrading to the latest 2.x build from 2.0.0.

There is not a patch or other way to upgrade Wowza 2 to Wowza 3. You have to install Wowza 3 and remake configuration.

I am not asking about moving to 3. I would like to stay on 2, but with the latest release of 2 as per my post. There is no instructions for this and I don't know about the package either.
