Thread: Post-processing - XML meta-data with keyframe

    Default Post-processing - XML meta-data with keyframe

We are doing pseudo-streaming flv files that originaly captured by webcam. There is no keyframes in the file, so yamdi does help us. But we are looking for auto post-processing tool to do the same.

I read about "Red5 streaming server, and put a movie in a streaming app's streaming folder, there is a meta-data file generated - which really is an XML file showing all the keyframes. "

Does Wowza have the similar functionality?

    Hi
No, Wowza doesn't have that functionality (post-processing) and you will need an external tool if you wanted to do this.

    Hi
ffmpeg would be something that would work in this scenario,
I'm sure doing a search would bring up some others that would work for this as well.

Or Xuggler. It wraps ffmpeg API in Java, so it may be easier to integrate as Wowza module.
