    Hi guys

First of all thanks to all of you who have help me already by the posts I have been reading that assisted me greatly in setting up!
I am almost there, but have one nagging issue that I cannot rresolve.

basicly the ngrp: links dont work and i get osme errors in the log as below.

Running wowza 3.0.3.12 on windows 7 64 with server vm and CUDA
encoder on for the stream mentioned in the logs.

What is the source and how is it encoded? What player are you using for playback? Have you tried playing individual streams?

we have fmle at remote locations encoding rtsp h.264 to wowza.
output from wowza to: flash, android, iphone/ipad.
(i am currently only testing 2 out of our 12 streams)
individual streams work fine, both in flash, and vlc.

when i open the .m3u8 file in text editor it has #EXTM3U inside, thats all.

    do you need the url?

Zip and send conf, logs and transcoder folders to support@wowza.com

Include screen shot(s) of all FMLE encoder settings.

Include a link to this thread for reference.

    Hi.

Ok, this is an update to explain my findings.

On the source end, we have fmle, as we do not require sound, we do not have any input devices connected to the pc's and fmle as a consequence does not show any audio inputs and, as such we are unable to enable audio out of fmle...... since the stream arrives in wowza without any audio, wowza simply throws the audiocodecid missing error and fails to populate the NGRP: streams and apple streaming simply will not work.
In previous version of wowza this was not a problem, so I can only assume that wowza has forced the need to have audio, which in our case caused a lot of hair pulling!!

So, this is what I did: installed VAC (virtual audio cable, trial) and enabled the audio in/out in FMLE and re-tested, all works!!
The problem: VAC costs 25 bucks a pop we have 10 sources, soon to be around 20 or 30, so you can see that the cost adds up to unsupportable levels.
I have another thing I am going to test: I'm going to buy cheap headphones and connect them to the mic jack of the sound card, mute the output and see if I can select that source in FMLE (if someone has tried this, please let me know if it works.)

My question to wowza: is there a way to force the repackaging of the stream with a dummy audio feed from within wowza? I abviously would prefer this method over any other as it saves my team a few trips around the country to install and connect the "mics". You can imagine the cost of that operation alone!.

I have also tried installing and configuring JACK, but as our os's are mostly all 64 bits, jack simply crashes.
Any solution (preferably open source) that will allow a dummy audio feed to /from wowza is welcome.

    Thanks
    Ken

    Ken,

Use "Disable" in each /Encode /Audio /Codec in the Transcoder template. The options are AAC, PassThru and Disable
