    Default Detect audio level in aac live stream

    Hi,
    Is it possible to detect the level of the audio (ie. no speech or music) in a live aac audio stream from a radio station?
    Thanks.

    Default

    There is not a method in Wowza to detect sound level and re-encode the audio subtracting certain portions. Wowza just re-streams what it is given.

    This can be done on the encoder side, where the OS gives information on sound level. For example in Flash there is:

    createEmptyMovieClip("micAudio", 3);
    micAudio.attachAudio(Microphone.get());
    inputMic = Microphone.get();
    inputMic.setUseEchoSuppression(1);
    inputMic.setRate(44);
    inputMic.setSilenceLevel(0);
    inputMic.setGain(20);
