    Hi
When you pause a steam with an iOS device they stop requesting chunks, if the server stops handing out chunks for longer than the time out period the session will be ended by the server.

So you can pause with iOS devices just not for any length of time.
As for seek you can but this is only for vod content and if you are connected to a live application then the answer is no.

Even if you paused the live stream, the chunks will be the latest chunks available and you will loose the time you had the stream paused for.

    Thanks Jason,

My objective is to handle seek events for vod contents. Do you know how to do it?

It's possible on live streams using the nDVR addon.

    Hi
Wowza doesn't know when you have skipped content using the seek bar on the iOS device, it only knows which chunk that the device asked for and then sends it.

This makes it impossible to control seeking from the Wowza end
