    Question Changing pmt/pat insertion frequency in MPEG-TS stream

    Hi,

    I use Wowza media server 3.0 as a VoD (RTSP) server for STBs.

    The server streams AAC files using MPEG-TS packets.

    I have two questions:

    1- How may i force RTSP server output to use UDP instead of RTP?
    2- How can i change Packetizer to increase PMT/PAT insertion?

    Thanks in advance

    Thank you for your answer. But it dosen't work for the two questions.

    For point 1, i have follow steps described in http://www.wowza.com/forums/content.php?39#config.

    I have added next XML tags to "conf/vod/Application.xml" file.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    <Property>
    <Name>forceInterleaved</Name>
    <Value>true</Value>
    <Type>Boolean</Type>
    </Property>
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    But the server is still sending RTP packet instead of UDP packets.

    For point 2 , steps in http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....tgoing-MPEG-TS describe Pid and Stream id changing , whereas what i need is the frequency of PAT and PMT insertion.

    Best regards

    the MediaCaster Property "forceInterleaved" only affects incoming streams.

    Try adding these Property settings to the /conf/[app-name]/Application.xml /RTP /Properties list:

    <Property>
    <Name>forceMPEGTSOut</Name>
    <Value>true</Value>
    <Type>Boolean</Type>
    </Property>

    <Property>
    <Name>rtpWrapMPEGTS</Name>
    <Value>true</Value>
    <Type>Boolean</Type>
    </Property>

    I have added these properties but server is still sending RTP instead of UDP.
    Below conf/vod/Application.xml.
    Could you tell me what is wrong(server version is 3.0.3).
    Thank you in advance.

    You put the properties in the wrong place.

    You have:

    <Property>
    	<Name>rtpDePacketizerWrapper</Name>
    	<Value>com.wowza.wms.rtp.depacketizer.RTPDePacketizerWrapperReChunkMPEGTS</Value>
    </Property>
    <Property>
    	<Name>forceMPEGTSOut</Name>
    	<Value>true</Value>
    	<Type>Boolean</Type>
    </Property>
    <Property>
    	<Name>rtpWrapMPEGTS</Name>
    	<Value>true</Value>
    	<Type>Boolean</Type>
    </Property>
    <!-- Properties defined here will override any properties defined in conf/RTP.xml for any depacketizers loaded by this application -->
    <Properties>
    </Properties>
    should be:

    <!-- Properties defined here will override any properties defined in conf/RTP.xml for any depacketizers loaded by this application -->
    <Properties>
    	<Property>
    		<Name>rtpDePacketizerWrapper</Name>
    		<Value>com.wowza.wms.rtp.depacketizer.RTPDePacketizerWrapperReChunkMPEGTS</Value>
    	</Property>
    	<Property>
    		<Name>forceMPEGTSOut</Name>
    		<Value>true</Value>
    		<Type>Boolean</Type>
    	</Property>
    	<Property>
    		<Name>rtpWrapMPEGTS</Name>
    		<Value>true</Value>
    		<Type>Boolean</Type>
    	</Property>
    </Properties>
    <Property> tags inside of <Properties> tags.
