Default VOD Second Audio Track for an other file

    Hi everybody,

I've read this topic about changing audio track inside an MP4 file : http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....tify-interface

But is it possible to load an audio track from an other file ? For example, I've a MP4 file containing the video + audio in original version (Matrix.mp4) and I would like to add as many file as language I have : Matrix_de.mp4, Matrix_fr.mp4, Matrix_es.mp4, etc...

The aim is to add or remove audio tracks very easily without re-encoding the "main" file everytime I made a change.

Thanks for your answers and sorry for my English

    Mat,

This is not possible with Wowza, you will have to re-encode

I think it's possible using Flash HTTP Streaming + OSMF Player with Late-Binding Audio, no ?
I just need to find a way to re-write the manifest.f4m file to match to Late-Binding Audio manifest file.
    Example here : http://www.realeyes.com/blog/tag/late-binding-audio/

    Thank for your help.

    Mat,

No, sorry, this is not supported. It is always possible in a future version of Wowza, but I have no info about any plans to do so or time frame.

I didn't see JasonH's post, sorry. I'm not sure then. Try that out, sounds like it worked. There is a download link

i do not think this will work.

The audio tracks needs to be in the same file rather than being seperate as Wowza will not be able to read the tracks from different location.

Yes, I've already tried this method using this post which work well : http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....tify-interface but the problem is that we need to disconnect and reconnect to change the track, which take time and it's not very pleasant for the user.

Late-Binding Audio implements smooth audio switching : you can try it at the end of this article : http://www.realeyes.com/blog/2011/07...io-using-osmf/
